CCS Adoption Myth Buster
- The assessment process doesn't take as long as you think and CCS ensures that it is a supportive process, our Social Worker team places special importance on building positive relationships during assessment.
- If you are over 40 you can adopt – most adopters are in their late 30s to early 50s.
- Whether you are heterosexual, lesbian or gay is not a factor.
- Whether you work full-time, are unemployed or on a low income you may be able to adopt - your financial circumstances and employment status will always be considered as part of an adoption assessment.
- If you are single you can adopt.
- You can adopt if you already have children living at home.
- Once you have adopted you won't be on your own - CCS provides life long support.
