Thank you
One very special way to help children in need is by leaving a legacy
to CCS Adoption. One such benefactor is Miss Dorothy Joan
Price, who recently left a legacy to the Society which will help us
in so many ways to improve and extend our work in caring for
children and helping their adoptive parents. We are very
grateful for her kind and thoughtful generosity, and would like to
offer our sincere thanks to her family, and especially her nieces
who kindly gave us permission to publish the following details of
her life.
"Our aunt was born in 1920. She came from a large family of 9
other children, and she was the last of them to survive. She
worked all her life as a civil servant, and was moved all over the
country during the war and in the course of her later work.
She received the MBE for her long and devoted services. She
retired to Hungerford for a few years and later moved to her niece's
house in Wiltshire. She was a good Christian who went to mass
until physically unable to do so, and then received the sacrament at
home. She was a fun loving and kind person who it has been our
pleasure and privilege to have known and loved. We miss her
very much."
