CCS Adoption Ofsted “Outstanding”
We are delighted to announce that for the fourth time in the last 10 years, we have been judged “Outstanding” by Ofsted – the only adoption agency in the region to have achieved this.
The Ofsted inspection team found the agency to be “Outstanding” in all three areas that it considered. The team judged the adoption agency to be “Outstanding” for several reasons including:
“Adopters receive excellent preparation, support and training before adopting their child. They benefit from the extensive training and support provided by the agency that comprehensively prepares them for their parenting role.”
“The agency offers a range of imaginative and creative clubs and activities for adopted children and their parents that are provided in the agency’s children’s centre and the community. Children and their parents benefit from taking part in after-school clubs, forest clubs, holiday activities and tots’ and parents’ clubs.”
The CEO of the organisation said
“We are delighted to have been recognised by Ofsted once again as “Outstanding” and providing a centre of excellence for adoption services, both in recruiting and training prospective adopters for the children who need them and in providing lifelong and bespoke services for these children once home. We hope that with the support of our community, we can continue to provide these much-needed services for some of the country’s most vulnerable children.”
There continues to be a shortage of adopters for many children waiting in care and at the end of September 2018 there were 2,730 (figures from the ALB second quarter) children in England waiting for an adoptive family. If you think you want to explore becoming an adoptive parent, or that you could support us please get in touch.
