Run the London Marathon for CCS

CCS is delighted to have won a charity ballot place for the 2021 London Marathon on Sunday 3^rd October and we are now seeking a special runner to run for us and raise funds to support our work.

We have also drawn 10 places in the official Virtual London Marathon taking place on the same day, all over the UK. The idea is that people run the full 26.2 miles – alone or in small teams, wherever they are, whilst raising funds to support our work with adopted children and their families.

If you would like to be considered for our charity ballot place (running in London) and/or a virtual place (running locally) please complete our London Marathon application form and return it to fundraising@ccsadoption.org by the 26th March 2021.

Successful applicants will be contacted by Easter, giving you a full 6 months to organise, train and raise sponsorship – good luck!

What support will I get?

Our London runner will wear a CCS running vest. All our runners will be supported with training and fundraising and all will receive the official London Marathon medal and T-shirt. An App will record the virtual runners’ time and distance.

What costs will I incur?

In line with other charities, we are asking our London Marathon runner to pay £100 towards the cost of registration and to raise sponsorship of £2000. You will be responsible for your travel, accommodation and other expenses. Virtual Marathon runners will be asked to pay a £25 registration fee and to raise £500 for CCS Adoption.
