Meet our Marathon Runners

We’re delighted to announce our 2021 Marathon Runners:

Matt Thomas

Matt will be running the live event in London, 26.2 miles from London’s Blackheath to The Mall on Sunday 3rd October.

Jason Tinley

Jason – our very own Finance Manager – has taken on the Virtual Marathon Challenge, running 26.2 miles in Bristol on Sunday 3rd October.

Jason is aiming to raise £500 and to do this, he’s taking on 2 more running challenges in the months leading up to the Marathon!

Where will the sponsorship money go?

All donations will go directly to CCS and will be used to fund our post-adoption support services. We receive no statutory funding for our post-adoption support, most of which is delivered through The Centre.

We offer groups, workshops and events to all adoptive families in Bristol and the surrounding areas (not just those who adopt through CCS).

Children placed for adoption have often experienced trauma in their early lives, and adoption can be a challenging process for both the children and their adoptive families. This support is so important as it helps to build strong resilient adoptive families, giving every adoption the best chance of success.

Without our incredible supporters, donors and fundraisers, we wouldn’t be able to provide this vital support. So a huge thank you to Matt and Jason!
