We Are Moving

Hello all CCS and Centre Families,

I am writing to keep you up to date with plans at CCS. As I wrote in a newsletter a few months ago, we have been looking to move on from Pennywell Road as our office base is too big and costly for our current service. We are delighted to let you know that we will be moving to our new office space at The Park in Knowle, a community hub where we will have lots of other charities working in office spaces all around us. The current plan is to move our office space there in July. We will have our own office space and meeting rooms and then use The Park’s facilities for training sessions and potentially some Centre Services. Centre services and therapy that currently run from Pennywell Road will continue for a few months whilst we move forward with selling the building and finalising plans for these services in different locations. We know many families will have been used to thinking about CCS and The Centre as the building in Easton, but as the charity develops and evolves, we now need to recognise new ways of working.

CCS continues to run a wide range of services for families through our social work team, therapy team and Centre services. As you know, the Centre Service doesn’t receive any statuary funding, and we need to raise £120K each year to enable these services to continue. Huge thank you to everyone who donated £18,800 last year. This, alongside funds from grant applications, Adoption West and charging for services, has meant that we covered the costs of The Centre in 2022-2023. We need to do this again this year, so please consider how you could help keep these vital services going by visiting our Support Us page.
