Thanks to Coronavirus Community Support Fund

CCS Adoption is delighted to have received a grant from the Government’s Coronavirus Community Support Fund (distributed by The National Lottery Community Fund), enabling us to provide extra support for adoptive families who have been particularly affected by the pandemic.

The funding is helping us provide flexible, tailored support over the next six months for CCS families (often those in the early stages of a placement).

At a time when many groups are still unable to meet, children have spent months out of school and families are spending a lot of time at home, some children and parents are understandably struggling. Our Social Work Assistant Fran is keeping in touch by phone or video call, listening, helping parents to explore issues, offering therapeutic parenting tips and discussing coping strategies.
