Thanks to St Mary Redcliffe Church
Our CEO and our Fundraiser were delighted to receive a cheque for £5,833.98 from the Reverend Kat Campion-Spall at St. Mary Redcliffe last Sunday. This cheque represents the total raised by our Lent Appeal held earlier in the year with the church. The money raised will be put towards groups like Tots, The After School Club and the A-Team which directly support our adopted children.
This partnership gave us a unique opportunity to increase awareness of CCS Adoption Support and raise vital funds for our charity. We created an engaging display promoting the work we do with our adopted children and young adults; held a very moving ‘Voices of Adoption’ evening where a panel of adopted adults, adopters and adoption professionals shared their experiences; held a Family Fun Day and parachuted teddies from the roof of the church and auctioned off an original work of art “City of High Dreams” by our Patron Jenny Urquhart. We also spoke on a couple of occasions to the congregation, and the children at Sunday School, about adoption and the amazing families we create and support.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone at the church who made us so welcome and supported our appeal. We are also so thankful to the congregation and visitors to St Mary Redcliffe for their very generous donations and enthusiasm towards our work.
