Our Therapy Service has been developed specifically to help and support adoptive families. Our in-house, multi-disciplinary, professional team of qualified and experienced psychologists and therapists both assess and provide a range of therapies to adopted children and their families. This is funded largely through the Adoption Support Fund.
Besides therapy there are monthly support groups for adoptive Mums and Dads facilitated by a clinical psychologist; our 8 week Hearts and Minds programme for adoptive parents and other courses and workshops that help support adoptive families.
While many aspects of what we do are available to all adoptive families in the region, whatever agency they adopted through, the core therapy service – clinical assessment and therapy – is only available to those families who have adopted through CCS.
