Transition from Nursery to Primary School

Transition from Nursery to Primary School

Is your child moving up from nursery/pre-school to primary school? Do you think you might benefit from a session in which to explore how to best support your child with that transition? Are you confident you know what support should be available to your child and how to access that in their new setting? We are running a transition workshop for adoptive parents to explore this significant step.

Available to all adoptive families with any agency.

Your session host will be Emma Spillane – a CCS adoptive parent to two siblings, qualified teacher and experienced trainer. Emma provides attachment and trauma training and consultancy to support schools in managing the transition to becoming a trauma-focused setting. She also works with agencies to support families who are facing challenges with obtaining the right support for their child at school and has been through the transition from nursery to school with both of her children (and is currently planning the step up from primary to secondary for her eldest with his school).
