Tots was invaluable. An opportunity to talk to other people who really understood. It wasn’t just talking about sleepless nights it was talking to people who really got it.

We were slightly worried at the beginning as we are not CCS adopters. Would it feel like we were trying to sneak in and use other people’s service? Nobody was ever like that.

For us just the existence of the service of an LGBTQ+ group is “wow” they really want us to adopt and give us dedicated support.

I think the teenage years are turbulent times for any children and we’re anticipating fireworks, but it's great to know that CCS will be there.

It goes to show how great the adoption support is because the fact that I drove all the way from Bath because of the support for me as a new mummy and making those connections with other people who were also new mummies - that was very unique.

I’m a single adopter and my family are all around the country. Going into Tots with children that were similar age to my son - I had an immediate support network which has really helped us, especially in the early days when there was no one else.
