SWAC Training Events
Within the SWAC Terms of Reference, there is a commitment to providing Safeguarding Training once a year, open to all of those working in a SWAC agency. Do discuss with your line manager if you wish to attend.
Safeguarding Training 2026
Like last year’s safeguarding training, it will be led by Satwinder Sandhu from CVAA. It will be a whole morning session on Teams and will focus on key issues in safeguarding in adoption, including the new Working Together, the interface between adoption support services and local authority safeguarding services, and lessons from recent Serious Case Reviews. Places will be limited to 100 and will be allocated within agencies, not by SWAC.
