Supporting your Child in Education
This session supports you as an adopter in choosing educational settings, understanding educational triggers and hotspots (including the transition from one setting to another) and how to access support. By understanding your child’s need for safety and survival, you will be better equipped to help staff working in educational settings to see your child’s “challenging behaviours” as “stress behaviours”, which communicate a need for emotional support and safety. You will be given resources that will help you and the educational staff to prepare and support your child whilst in education. This session is held online via Zoom.
— If you are an adopter with CCS Adoption, training is free of charge.
— If you have adopted via another agency, you will need to discuss funding for the training with someone from that agency, and they may wish to book the training for you. Alternatively, you can book and pay for the training yourself. Anyone wishing to book training should do so via Eventbee by clicking the date below:
— 12th November 2025 – 10.00 am-1.00 pm
