Trustee

We are looking to recruit 2 new trustees, to join our Board, with a commitment to CCS and its mission, and a willingness to put time and energy into the trustee role. Do you want to ensure there is ongoing, specialist support for children and families for as long as they need it? If so, this fantastic opportunity could be for you.

We are particularly interested to hear from you if you are an adult adoptee who would be willing to bring your lived experience to this role. Or you may be an adopter who wants to bring their skills and experience. We are also looking for individuals with expertise in the fields of Fundraising /Marketing and Health and Social Care.  

Ideally, but not essential, it would be helpful to have experience working in the voluntary sector. Whether you are an experienced Trustee or want to take the first step at the Board level, if you share our ethos, we’d like to hear from you. We are specifically looking to increase the diversity of our trustee board.

CCS Adoption Panel Member

(volunteer, unpaid role, reasonable expenses paid)

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families? Are you a qualified social worker with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience with children? seeking a fulfilling opportunity to contribute to the adoption process?

CCS Adoption is seeking registered social work professionals to join the adoption panel. This voluntary role will play an important part in providing quality assurance and objectivity to the decision-making process for approving adopters and agreeing on proposed matches between children and adopters.

CCS Adoption panels take place every 4-6 weeks (on a Tuesday) and are a mixture of in-person and remote. In addition, Panel Members should be available to attend 1-2 days of training per year. Travel expenses will be paid.

Independent Social Worker

Salary: Competitive Rates

Reporting to: Head of Adoption

We are currently looking for independent social workers who are able to work with families who live in Bristol or up to an hour from Bristol. This may include Bristol, Bath, Nort Somerset, Wiltshire, South Gloucestershire and Gloucestershire.

Work may include adoption assessments (stage 1 + 2 or just stage 2), family finding, making and supporting placements or Intermediary Work with adult adoptees/relatives.

You will need to be Social Work England registered and have at least three years of post-qualifying experience, preferably in adoption or fostering.

Associate Therapists

We are currently interested in hearing from clinicians with training in Theraplay® and experience working with adopted children, families, and trauma in an attachment-based setting. In addition to Theraplay®, we also continue to be interested in hearing specifically from clinicians with knowledge of DDP, NVR and Life Journey work.
