Adoption Social Worker 

Accountable to: Head of Adoption

Salary: £32,533 – £34,156 (SP 27-29) or Senior £35,061- £36,043 (SP 30-31)

Hours: Full Time (37)

Contract: 12 months maternity cover

Location: CCS Office Bristol in accordance with the CCS hybrid working policy with travel across the UK as required to complete the tasks of this role.

Primary Purpose: The post holder will be part of a team that aims to provide creative and forward-thinking adoption services and will be expected to undertake a range of work within the area of family placement.

An exciting opportunity for an Adoption Social Worker to join our Social Work service. The post is based in our Bristol office (including working at-home opportunities through our Hybrid Working Policy) covering Wiltshire, Somerset, Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire, Bath, Bristol, Swindon and South Wales.

The post holder will ideally be 3 years qualified Social Worker, preferably with adoption experience, who will be undertaking adoption assessment and making and supporting placements as well as contributing to all aspects of the Agency’s adoption service. This will include recruitment activities, family finding, Post-adoption Support, and assisting with training.

Opportunity for creativity and innovative practice is encouraged and welcomed.

The successful applicant may be offered the position as an Adoption Social Worker or Senior Adoption Social Worker depending on their skills and experience.

Independent Social Worker

Salary: Competitive Rates   

Accountable To: Head of Adoption

We are currently looking for independent social workers who are able to work with families who live in Bristol or up to an hour from Bristol. This may include Bristol, Bath, Nort Somerset, Wiltshire, South Gloucestershire and Gloucestershire.

Work may include: Adoption assessments (stage 1 + 2 or just stage 2), family finding, making and supporting placements or Intermediary Work with adult adoptees/relatives.

You will need to be Social Work England registered and have at least three years’ post-qualifying experience, preferably in adoption or fostering.

Trustee

Job Title: Trustee (volunteer, unpaid role, reasonable expenses paid)

Based in: Bristol

We have opportunities for new trustees to join CCS to support our work and help us drive our ambitions forward. Do you want to make a positive difference in the lives of children by helping them to find their forever families? Do you want to ensure there is ongoing, specialist support for children and families for as long as they need it? If so, this fantastic opportunity could be for you.

We are looking to recruit 2 trustees with a commitment to CCS and its mission, and a willingness to put time and energy into the trustee role. We are particularly interested in people who have experience in the following:

  • A professional experienced in the field of Permanence (Adoption, fostering or kinship)
  • A health professional, preferably a paediatrician or significant experience with children/young people
  • A professional in the field of therapeutic interventions
  • Fundraising and income generation
  • Marketing

Associate Therapists

We are currently interested in hearing from clinicians with training in Theraplay® and experience working with adopted children and families, and trauma, in an attachment-based setting. In addition to Theraplay®, we also continue to be interested in hearing from clinicians with knowledge of DDP, NVR, Life Journey work, Filial Play Therapy, EMDR, VIG, and/ or other creative therapies.
