Letterbox and contact

Let’s Talk About Letterbox and Contact – Session 1

What’s the point?

The first in a series of four informal sessions where we open up the thorny subject of Contact with birth families for adopted children and young people. Feel free to come to all or just those you fancy.

This session has been designed to give adopters who might be struggling to see the point or value of contact the chance to explore and air their feelings and be heard. Eve Payne the CCS Adoption Sharing Stories Life Story Worker will facilitate the session and enable adopters the space to talk about any concerns or issues they have with contact. We know that a lot of adopters can struggle with the challenge of contact and yet find it hard to talk openly about their feelings or experiences for fear of being judged. If this is you, come along to this safe supportive space.

The session will be held online via Zoom. Please contact us at activities@ccsadoption.org for joining details.
