Lilly’s 50 lap challenge!
**Update: Lilly completed her 50-lap challenge, running 10.3 km in 53 minutes and 50 seconds and raising a massive £560 incl. Gift Aid. A huge congratulations and thank you to Lilly from all at CCS Adoption!**
Lilly, a young adoptee from Bristol, has organised a sponsored run at her school on 17th December to raise money for our adoption support services. Lilly says:
“I’m adopted myself so I know how important the charity is in finding homes for children. I wanted to raise money by running 50 laps on my school field because I find running challenging and I will push myself to raise money because of how important it is. I will be running with a friend who is adopted.”
Over the last 18 months, the pandemic has created a tough fundraising landscape. CCS is facing cuts to funding, increased competition for available funds, and restrictions on community fundraising opportunities. CCS is more reliant than ever on the support of individuals like Lilly.
Lilly’s personal experience and knowledge of the challenges we currently face have inspired her to take action to support this cause close to her heart.
In addition to her sponsored run, Lilly has also organised a non-school uniform day, with donations in aid of CCS.
Everyone at CCS Adoption would like to say a huge thank you to Lilly for all the work she has put into arranging this fundraiser, we are incredibly grateful to her for all her effort, time and determination.
We’d all like to wish Lilly the best of luck on her run!
If you would like to sponsor Lilly or send words of encouragement, you can do so through her Go Fund Me page.
