A Gift in your Will or Donation in Memory
Remembering us in your Will helps to change children’s lives, providing them with a loving family and the support they need to thrive.
“Leaving a donation to CCS in our will(s) was something we were both keen to do, giving something back to a charity that helped us so much in becoming and remaining a forever family…” Adoptive father of 7 year old boy with special needs
Leaving a Gift in your Will
Making a Will is an important way to look after the future of those closest to you. After taking care of your loved ones, you may also wish to consider leaving a gift to charity.
Gifts in Wills are hugely valuable to CCS as the specialist adoption support we provide relies on fundraising. By making a gift to us, you will be helping to transform the lives of vulnerable children long after you are gone.
Charitable legacies and inheritance tax
Charitable legacies are not currently subject to inheritance tax so any gift you leave to CCS Adoption will be tax-free.
Thinking of making a gift?
If you would like to leave a gift to CCS Adoption in your Will, do seek advice from a solicitor (if you don’t already have a solicitor you can find one by searching on the Law Society database). They will be able to talk you through the various options and if appropriate assist you in drafting or amending your Will to include a legacy gift to us. Your solicitor will need the following information: Charity name: Clifton Children’s Society. Registered charity number: 286814. Address: CCS Adoption, 162 Pennywell Road, Easton, Bristol, BS5 0TX.
Let us know
We understand that your Will is a private document however, if you do leave us a legacy please consider letting us know so that we can thank you and discuss any special wishes you may have.
If you’d like to talk to us about leaving CCS a gift in your Will or if you would like any further information or support, please contact The Fundraising Team on 0117 935 0005 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Donating in memory
When someone dies, charity donations are often requested in place of flowers at their funeral. If CCS Adoption has meant something to your loved one, please consider supporting us.
In memory donations can be sent to us directly, or you can ask the funeral director to arrange this for you. Just give them our name and registered charity number (286814) and they will do the rest. People who prefer to donate online may like to do so through Virgin Money Giving.
